# Self-hosting EigenPal

> Install EigenPal on your infrastructure and connect your own providers.

Run EigenPal with your own PostgreSQL database, S3-compatible storage and model providers. The app and worker share these services; PostgreSQL also holds the job queue.

## Optional capabilities

[Agent sandboxes](https://docs.eigenpal.com/self-hosting/agent-sandboxes.md) provide filesystem tools for agents. They need a separate runtime and Git server; the chart disables them by default and you can leave them off for a workflow-only installation.

[Workflow promotion](https://docs.eigenpal.com/self-hosting/workflow-promotion.md) moves released workflows between separate installations through GitHub or GitLab.

## Look up a setting

Use the [environment variable](https://docs.eigenpal.com/self-hosting/environment-variables.md), [deployment YAML](https://docs.eigenpal.com/self-hosting/yaml-reference.md) and [Helm](https://docs.eigenpal.com/self-hosting/helm-values.md) references when you need individual fields. Match configuration to your installed release. The CLI documentation bundle includes these references for agents and offline use.
